PERFECT TRAINING

This trail is the perfect training for the race. You ride over 4 days the race distances of 140-180 KM per day on tracks of bronze and iron class level.

HIGHLIGHTS

This six-day, four ride-day tour takes us on really demanding tracks through the most beautiful parts of the Southern Carpathians. We will cross over the highest mountain ranges, traveling in stages of 140 - 180 km per day over four days, enjoying splendid views from the summits, and riding along mountain ridges and through the forested valleys.

WHY WE LIKE THIS TOUR

The daily stages are between 140 and 180 km long. The degree of difficulty has been tailored to experienced riders. The distances and route are subject to change based on weather and/or the participants riding skills.  The route includes many of bronze and iron level tracks with stays at three different hotels in the mountains.

Kings Trail 6-Day Tour

DURATION AND ITINERARY

This trail lasts for 6 days 4 days of riding, The package includes 5 overnight stays including breakfast and dinner. There is no rest day during the stages of the trail. 

The first day of the tour takes us away from Sibiu and we will cross the first high mountain ridge overnighting in a beatiful valley where we experience the endless steep uphills and depp forests of the Carpathian Mountains. 

On the third day of riding we ride will ride up to the highest peaks and deepest valleys you have ever seen, a good part of the day we ride over the tree line and will overnight in a perfect mountain lodge. On this day the Short Kings Trail participants will join us.

The fourth day brings us into really untouched regions where you feel at some parts of the trail like you were completely alone and on your own. Real adventure feeling.

The fifth and last day of the trail leads us back to Sibiu where the trail ends.

The Kings Trail is designed for riders with good medium level skills to enjoy the tour. We guarantee that everyone will be happy and tired in the evening.

The daily stages are divided so that we stop for lunch in a local inn and take breaks in between where we can relax and have a snack to rest and refuel our bodies.

The length of the daily stages are dependent on the level of rider skill and can be around 120 to 150 km long. We do provide an alternative route if riders become tired during the ride, either via short cuts or gravel road routes to the hotel or taking a seat in the support vehicle.

This beautiful adventure will occur as follows:

Day 1
Arrival and overnight in Sibiu.

Day 2
Stage 2 to the Sadu Valley - 130 KM

Day 3
Stage 3 deep into the Carpathian Mountains crossing the highest ridges 145 KM

Day 4
Stage 4 feeling real adventure riding through untouched mountain regions - 160-190 KM

Day 5
Stage 5 leaving the deep mountains and back to Sibiu - 185 KM

Day 6
Departure from Sibiu

DIFFICULTY LEVEL

Our tour guides ensure that your riding level is accommodated during the rides - the difficulty can be medium to partially extrem. Beginners and less-capable riders should not choose this trail although we have short cuts have the option to shorten the distances of the stages, and to opt for small parts on gravel or small asphalt roads. We have different routes in place for less experienced and extreme riders.

BEST TIME FOR THIS TRAIL

In the high Carpathian Mountains, ideal weather conditions occur between May and October.

TRAVEL AND HOTEL TRANSFER

The airport for arrival is SIBIU. The hotel is 10-15 min. from the airport. The trail returns to Sibiu.

ACCOMMODATION AND BOARD

Your are staying the first and last night in a hotel in the center of Sibiu, just a few footsteps away from the old town with the restaurants, bars and pubs. 3 nights during the stages you stay in very mountain lodges. All hotels are excellent 3* houses. Breakfast is included. For lunch we stop at restaurants on the way and for dinner we go to best restaurants in the city of Sibiu or take in the lodges (not included). A service car is transporting the luggage between the stages.

MANAGEMENT OF THE TOUR

A tour manager will be available for the whole duration of this tour. Please turn to him regarding any questions, information, or issues.

MOTORBIKES, FUEL AND TYRE

On this tour, a rental bike and fuel are included. We have KTM and GASGAS 2- and 4-stroke models available. All bikes are the latest models, professionally serviced, and in excellent condition. The bikes come with tires in good condition suitable for the ride with mousses and are equipped with closed rally guards, motor skid plate, and fan. New tyres and mousse are available as extra.

MOTORBIKE SERVICE

A professional mechanic services the bikes, with the service car meeting the riders at the lunch point and in the evening (where accessible) to fuel up and perform repairs. A spare bike is available.

DAMAGES ON THE RENTAL BIKE

We do not charge for normal wear of the bike (like scratches on the plastics). On this tour an insurance (CDW – Crash ‘Damage Waiver) is available which covers damages on the bike. See the terms of business for details.

EQUIPMENT AND GEAR

Minimum Enduro gear includes a helmet, goggles, elbow protectors (we recommend a protector jacket), gloves, pants, knee protectors, and Enduro boots. For this tour a good rain jacket and a backpack with water are mandatory.

We recommend taking a second set of Enduro clothes with you.

Deposit 800 EUR at booking, the balance is required 60 days before tour start.
